A representative for the food emporium told WNLA the incoming restaurant should open in the next couple of months or so as PBJ.LA’s lease at GCM ended on April 30.

Assuming the space’s layout remains the same, Sushi Rush will boast limited barstool seating — about eight to nine seats total — from which diners can watch their food being prepared in an exposed kitchenette.

Grand Central Market has been a city staple since 1917, providing Los Angeles with a rotating selection of unique vendors that currently includes Broad Street Oyster Co., EggSlut, and Sarita’s Pupuseria, amongst many other exciting concepts.

Comment from Co-Founder Nao Kikuchi is forthcoming.
