One day before the doors officially open on Friday, July 12, CAVA’s new restaurant in Burbank’s Empire Center will host its new neighbors for a free meal and match donations guests make to the Burbank Temporary Aid Center up to $1,000 at a Community Day preview event. Prior to the grand opening, CAVA is also partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley and God’s Purpose Unlimited to donate fresh meals to local community members during the restaurant’s pre-opening training period.

CAVA is committed to helping people live and eat well, and to supporting its neighbors. Since 2019, the company’s nationwide Community Day program has donated more than $500,000 to over 60 non-profit organizations, with much of the funding aimed at improving food security. The company launched a national food donation program in fall 2023 to donate fresh, healthy, and delicious unused food prepared during each new restaurant’s training period to local community members. This work is part of CAVA’s commitment to fighting hunger and reducing food waste.

The CAVA community day event will be held on July 11, 2024, from 10:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Guests must register for the Community Day event in advance here.

CAVA Burbank is located at 1787 N. Victory Place, Burbank, CA 91502 in the Empire Center.
