Freda’s will reside on the ground floor of a two-story commercial building (the second floor is home to Insurance Brokers West Inc. and My High Street Office) and will offer outdoor seating, beer, wine, liquor, and live music, in addition to fresh, homemade food.

Per Moorpark Acorn, “Adler [hopes] to employ 40 to 50 people and be open for brunch, lunch, and dinner service. Freda’s might also accommodate occasional special events.”

Planning to be open from 9 am to 10 pm, Adler notes that “most restaurants in Moorpark don’t have people in them past 9 o’clock, [but] we may close at 11 pm on the weekends if we get a late-night crowd.”

Adler, who is also the founder of Freda’s Pizza and Woodfired Kitchen in Camarillo and Westlake Village, tells What Now Los Angeles that the grand opening could take place as late as January.
