FUBAR WEHO is being replaced by a new bar. Owner Jay Krymis, who also runs Schmitty’s WeHo with his wife Michel Verdi Krymis, shared an update with the community via a video in May announcing that work on the new bar is in progress, reports WeHo Times.

Jay mentioned that, although the project is taking longer than expected, the construction is nearly complete. He revealed that the new bar will feature brick walls, elevated hardwood flooring, and skylights to bring in natural light during the day. He is still undecided on the name and welcomes suggestions.

“We’re not calling it FUBAR. I think that bar had such an amazing run and so much history and it was such a staple to the community that I think it would be a disservice to bring it back. So we’re looking for something new,” Jay said in the video.

FUBAR was a fixture in the West Hollywood community for 24 years.
