Per its website, this will be one of several dozen Cali stores, but Sprouts can be found in 23 states throughout the US. In fact, the growing grocer has a number of incoming locations in places like Colorado, Orlando, and Texas.

In addition to “farm-fresh produce and other healthy, affordable items,” Sprouts provides shoppers with a Market Corner Deli that boasts “quick fixes like wholesome sides, fully prepared entrees, and ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat meals.” Some notable offerings include fresh-cut seasonal fruit, satisfying wraps, and customizable sushi.

As for the vacant space set to become Sprouts, the shuttered Rite Aid officially closed on May 19, 2022 following the company’s efforts to “reduce costs and boost profits.”

“A decision to close a store is one we take very seriously and is based on various factors including business strategy, lease and rent considerations, local business conditions and viability, and store performance,” a Rite Aid rep told The Eastsider LA last year.

The massive stand-alone space sits on a large lot with ample parking. Since closing, the building has temporarily served as home to Spirit Halloween.
