Established in 1988 as a modest vitamin shop, Health Nut has transformed into a leader in healthy dining in Southern California. The fast-casual restaurant chain has built a loyal customer base with its signature salads, sandwiches, homemade dressings, teas and a wide variety of vegan, vegetarian, organic and gluten-free options.

Health Nut gained significant attention in recent years when its offerings became a regular feature on the show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The brand’s salad bowls and “salad shake” technique were further showcased on Hulu’s The Kardashians, as well as across social media. In fact, Kris Jenner ended up loving the chain so much that she teamed up with Health Nut to become its first investor and equity partner in 2022.

The Santa Monica location at 1447 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401 also features a spacious outdoor patio to enjoy the SoCal weather as well as free underground parking for added customer convenience. This newest spot will uphold the Health Nut tradition of offering a diverse menu made with the freshest ingredients.

“We are thrilled to bring Health Nut to Santa Monica, a community that embodies the active, health-conscious lifestyle we promote,” said Steve Choi, CEO of Health Nut in a statement. “Santa Monica’s commitment to wellness and its vibrant, diverse population make it a perfect fit for our brand. We can’t wait to serve the community with our fresh, nutritious meals that can be enjoyed on location, or easily taken to the beach for the ultimate lunch break.”

Adding to the excitement, Health Nut announced that its dressings are now available at retailers nationwide. Customers can find these dressings in the refrigerated section at Walmart, Target, Albertsons, Vons, Pavilions, Gelson’s, Bristol Farms, Stater Bros., Smart & Final, Wakefern Food Corp., Dierbergs Markets and Jewel-Osco. The launch includes the restaurant’s four most popular options: Original House, Spicy Asian, Sesame and Ranch.

In a further demonstration of the brand’s innovative spirit, Health Nut has paired up with celebrity Chef Khristianne Uy (also known as Chef K) to launch a collaborative video series titled “Shake It Up with Chef K”. The videos will feature Chef K pairing Health Nut dressings with her unique salad creations and inspiring viewers to get creative when making their own salads. Chef K gained fame for her work on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and the family’s latest reality show, The Kardashians.

Looking ahead, Health Nut is committed to expanding its brand into other healthy food options for grocery stores. The company is actively seeking partners to develop new products, including fresh grab & go salads, dips, soups, healthy snacks, protein bars, vitamin shots and their world teas.

The opening of the Santa Monica location and the expansion into retail are just two more milestones in Health Nut’s ongoing journey to inspire healthier lifestyles. Customers can receive 25% off their first restaurant order when they download the Health Nut app.
