The company’s newest location is set to move into the former home of Subway, according to signage on the building. A representative from the company tells What Now Los Angeles that Jersey Mike’s will be owned and operated by franchisee Juancarlos Chacon and is expected to open in November 2024. Chacon is president of the NextGen Dining Group and a nationwide multi-unit franchisee of Jersey Mike’s. This will be the franchise owner’s seventh location.

This is one of many new Jersey Mike’s locations coming to California, the state with the most Jersey Mike’s locations, with 376 shops. On top of the new Venice location, the sandwich shop plans to open a new location in Santa Clarita at 16400 Village Way and Torrance at 1632 Sepulveda Blvd. These are a part of a greater mass of at least 20 new locations opening in California, according to Finance Buzz. It’s unclear when the Santa Clarita and Torrance locations are expected to open. Additional locations for Buena Park, Signal Hill, and Studio City are in development.

Jersey Mike’s has 2,828 locations in the United States, with at least 297 more coming soon. The chain expects to open 350 locations in 2024 before ramping up in 2026 to 400–450 openings, according to QSR Magazine. Earlier this year, the company had announced that it had signed a 300-store deal with Redberry Restaurants, signaling the first major international expansion plan for Jersey Mike’s.
