Founded in São Paulo with a commitment to quick-service superfood, Oakberry sustainably sources its acai from Brazil’s Amazon rainforest, and serves a variety of acai bowls, snacks and wellness shots. They also recently released a new line of Signature Acai Smoothies with flavors like PB & Jam, Tropical Beats and Very Berry.

In a January press release, the brand announced that it raised $67 million through a Series C funding round. The round was raised through funds managed by the Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual (BPAC11) – the largest investment bank in Latin America, including an impact fund portfolio. The new partnership is expected to accelerate Oakberry’s global expansion strategy, particularly in the U.S.

Since starting in 2016, the company has achieved exponential growth with 700 stores across more than 40 countries. By the end of 2024, Oakberry expects to reach over $200 million in revenue and nearly 1,000 stores worldwide.

In California, Bianchini confirmed that they will be opening additional stores in Larchmont, Sherman Oaks, Culver City, West Lake and Hollywood – all by the end of 2024. The acai bowl experts recently opened their WeHo and Encino shops.
