“Goobne is the most popular chicken brand in Korea, and just landed in SoCal around a year or so ago. It’s a huge opportunity to be able to launch the K-Town location,” said Oh.

The popular restaurant is known for its crispy oven-roasted chicken and is focused on providing a healthier alternative to fried chicken. The menu includes different flavors of bone in and boneless wings, rice bowls and combos.

Goobne got its start in South Korea in 2005. Today, the company has more than 1,000 stores worldwide, and is working on expanding its California footprint, which already has two open locations in Torrance and Fullerton. The Koreatown outpost is scheduled to open by the end of March.
