Spring Street Bar is making a comeback. The beloved neighborhood bar closed its doors in January, but new co-owner Alex Vaughan-Ruiz confirms it will be relaunching. The team is currently in the process of renovating the space and is aiming for a mid- to late-August opening.

“I’ve lived in Downtown for nearly 10 years and have managed different restaurants and bars in the area, as has my business partner Brandon, so when we came across this opportunity, we couldn’t pass it up,” shares Vaughan-Ruiz. “We’ve been looking for a location for six years now and this one hit all the right notes.”

The venue will be a community-driven bar with affordable cocktails, seasonal ingredients, local beers, and small production spirits. “It’s a balance of the high-low, high quality spirits but not charging an exorbitant amount,” Vaughan-Ruiz continues.

This is Vaughan-Ruiz and Brandon Richard’s first venture together, but it’s not the first time they’ve worked together. “We both have worked for Park Hospitality Group for quite a few years, so we’re trying to bring that type of high-quality service to the bar.”

Spring Street Bar will be located at 626 S Spring Street.
