Now helmed by Bread Head Restaurant Group — a collective comprised of BH Founders Alex Williams and Jordan Snyder, Venice Brands CEO Greg Willsey, and Night + Market COO Michael Pasternak Bread Head began humbly on the heels of Alex and Jordan’s experience running one of LA’s finest kitchens, Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s Michelin star-rated Trois Mec

With sandwiches on the brain and an aim to create something simple yet refined, Williams and Snyder began crafting homemade bread. From there, they perfected their menu through several LA pop-ups before landing at Santa Monica’s JuneShine. Now, the group is gearing up to serve sandwiches lovingly composed but satisfyingly simple at their first of many stationary stores.

“We hope to open another location in six months, pending this one’s success,” Willsey tells What Now Los Angeles. “The brand will start in LA and go much broader. While we’ll likely open the first half-dozen in the greater LA area, our goal is to go national.”

As for what the maiden operation will offer and how it will differ from Bread Head’s pop-up concept, “This location will provide somewhere around 15 different sandwiches, sides, desserts, and handcrafted beverages,” Willsey explains. “It will have a lot more than what’s currently offered at JuneShine.”

While Los Angeles has no shortage of sandwich options, the thoughtfulness, skill, creativity, and refreshing level of simplicity being poured into Bread Head’s operation seems primed to set it apart from the competition. Not to mention, Willsey calls Williams and Snyder a couple of “really good guys.”

“People are driving from all over LA to Santa Monica for a sandwich. I mean, that’s pretty compelling.”
