While it’s bittersweet to bid farewell, we’re filled with immense joy knowing that the spirit of our cafe will continue to thrive under new ownership…We are working closely with the new owners to facilitate a smooth transition, and one of our main goals is to retain as many of our dedicated team members as possible…We would also like to thank our amazing team, vendors, farmers and all the talented folks that have worked with us to create WEOP for the past 10+ years…None of this would have been possible without y’allWhile the name may change, the convivial spirit that has defined Wide Eyes Open Palms will endure.

WEOP began its journey in 2013 as a pop-up farmers’ market stand and eventually opened its Long Beach brick-and-mortar location on 416 Cherry Ave. in 2017. The woman-owned, LGBTQ+ friendly cafe was founded on a mission of inclusivity and with the goal of providing customers with the ultimate brunch experience. Their last day of service will be Sunday, June 2, followed by a two-week closure to rebrand as Good Day Cafe, which will also be woman- and queer-owned.
