Currently, the lauded Petros has two locations: Manhattan Beach and Santa Barbara, as well as a number of winery and events spaces, with the incoming Petros outpost taking over the former Szechwan Palace Restaurant on Culver Blvd.

The Petros menu offers the best of the California and Greek coasts, boasting authentic recipes like Melitzanosalata (a dip comprised of roasted baby eggplant, garlic, and walnuts) as well as unique spin-offs such as the Gyro Burger (a grilled beef gyro on a brioche bun with tomato, onions, avocado, feta & secret sauce, served with french fries).

Petros Benekos’ passion for cooking began in Ioannina, Greece, which ultimately inspired his affinity for high-quality, farm-to-table fare. 16 years after opening his flagship location in Manhattan Beach, Petros remains true to his heritage, importing the best family-owned products from Greece, including feta cheese, olive oil, honey, olives, oregano, and yogurt.

It’s unclear when Petros’ Playa Del Rey location will welcome diners to enjoy its authentic Greek cuisine.
