The team’s four other LA Pizzanas hail from Brentwood, Sherman Oaks, Silver Lake, and West Hollywood, with the brand’s only out-of-state store residing in Dallas.

The Nelsons — who founded Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills — conceived the idea to open Pizzana after going to a pizza party at actor Chris O’Donnell’s house, who, along with his wife, are also co-founders of the concept.

“Pizzana features master pizzaiolo Daniele Uditi’s interpretation of the Naples staple,” explains the Pizzana website. “Reimagined for Southern California with consciously sourced toppings [that] blend the traditional with the unexpected…Chef Daniele’s signature ‘slow dough’ is meticulously prepared and allowed to ferment for two days.”

The menu offers pizzas (of course), antipasti, insalate, dolci, and wine & cocktails. Some notable items include the Diavola pizza (spicy salami, fior di latte, charred shallot, walnut romesco, and honey), carciofi arrostiti (charred artichoke heart, crispy baby artichoke, toasted pine nut, Parmigiano, lemon, and olive oil), cavoletto di Bruxelles (shaved brussels sprout, lolla rossa, apple, toasted pistachio, and caramelized shallot vinaigrette), and torta al cioccolato (dark chocolate olive oil cake and vanilla ice cream).
