According to Lonbeachize, a note posted on Kpasta’s door reads, “Dear Patrons, Thank you for all the years of support at Kpasta. We want to inform you that Kpasta is now officially closed as we prepare for a new concept. We look forward to welcoming you soon to Kique’s Taqueria. With heartfelt thanks, The Perez Family.”

Owners Enrique and Michelle Perez are veterans in the Mexican food space. The husband-and-wife team have owned the neighboring Enrique’s Restaurant, an authentic Jalisco-style joint, since 1997. They first opened Enrique’s in Bellflower before relocating to Long Beach in 2001, and even had two open locations at one point before scaling down to their current space at 6210 Pacific Coast Hwy.

The Perezs did not immediately respond to WNLA’s request for comment about Kique’s Taqueria. An opening date has yet to be announced.
