Brunch & Sip Lounge LA — a spin-off of Brunch & Sip Phoenix — will debut at 11801 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604, according to a recently-filed ABC application.
The operation, helmed by husband & wife Larry White and Rasheedah Jones-White, is a thoughtfully curated breakfast concept that utilizes a generational love of food as well as tips & tricks Larry picked up while hanging around the kitchen of his grandmother’s soul food restaurant.
Per the B&S’ website, “[Larry’s] recipes are a product of the downhome cooking [he] was raised with, made from scratch with wholesome, real ingredients.”
As for Rasheedah’s role in the operation, Larry explains that “[he relies] on her taste and honesty to create the recipes [customers] see on [the] classic brunch menu. If [Rasheedah] doesn’t like a recipe, it’s back to the chalkboard until [Larry finds] something that’s taste tester-approved and restaurant-ready. Nothing goes in [Brunch & Sip] that doesn’t get her seal of approval!”
The Brunch & Sip Phoenix menu offers delicious dishes like a Crab Cake BLT, Shrimp and Grits, and the ever-necessary Hangover Fries: garlic rosemary potatoes smothered in turkey sausage gravy and topped with sauteed onions, bell peppers, a sunny-side up egg, cheddar cheese, fire-roasted salsa, and sour cream.
