Following the first location inside Halo DTLA, a new outpost of Danny Boy’s Famous Original Pizza is preparing to open on 10880 Lindbrook Drive, as confirmed by permits submitted to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
This New York City-inspired pizzeria, owned by native New Yorker Daniel Holzman, aspires to answer the question: “where can I get a great New York style slice here in LA?” Rooted in his own background as a chef, Holzman set out on a quest to encapsulate his childhood memories of eating pepperoni pizza at Ray’s Famous Original.
Highlights of their menu include staples like cheese, pepperoni, meatball, white pie with mushrooms, margherita, and Sicilian pepperoni. For those seeking a gluten-free option, they do gluten-free Sicilian as well. They also have specialty pies, or you can build your own. Beyond that, there are an assortment of salads and hot hero sandwiches as well.
An opening date has not been announced yet, and while Holzman all but confirmed the plans in an email, Danny Boy’s Famous Original Pizza did not immediately reply for comment to What Now Los Angeles.
