Having recently moved from Japan, the owner chose Los Angeles as his dream location. “With the upcoming Olympics, we see a lot of development and changes,” Lagos says. “Culver City is also close to the airport, making it convenient for visitors from Japan.”

The restaurant will specialize in yakitori, a type of Japanese cuisine that features skewered and grilled meats. “Yakitori is authentic Japanese cuisine that we didn’t see much in the U.S. We use charcoal to grill in front of the customers, which is a very authentic style,” Lagos explains.

In addition to yakitori, the restaurant will offer an omakase chef’s recommendation menu that changes seasonally. “We want to serve really authentic Japanese cuisine, focusing on health and tradition. No sushi, ramen, or Japanese BBQ – just pure yakitori and other authentic dishes.”

The beverage menu will feature beer, wine, plum wine, and high-end sake bottles, ensuring a complete Japanese dining experience. The restaurant will be open for dinner every day, promising an unforgettable evening for its patrons.

“We don’t compromise on taste; it’s our motto and our style,” Lagos concludes.

As the final touches are being put in place, anticipation is building for this new restaurant that promises to bring a slice of Japan to Culver City.
