Café Boulud, a restaurant concept from acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud, is opening an LA outpost at 9200 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90212 — the Mandarin Oriental Residences — in late 2023

Additionally, Boulud’s Dinex restaurant group recently debuted a private restaurant and rooftop terrace at the same location. 

Busy Boulud — who helms handfuls of concepts including outposts of Café Boulud in Toronto, the Bahamas, and New York — spoke of his intentions to bring another concept to LA back in 2021. 

According to Eater, Boulud expressed that he wanted the LA space to be “casual…with the status of a very nice restaurant.” While it’s unclear if this remains the approach for the incoming cafe, the five other locations seem to lean aptly into the description.
