The company’s second site is set to move into the ground floor of the AVA Little Tokyo apartment complex, according to documents submitted to the Los Angeles City Planning Department. Owner Praveen Nair hopes to open a restaurant with a bar and 180 total seats, including a 76-seat outdoor seating area, live entertainment, and no dancing. While the city is still reviewing these documents, the new restaurant has proposed having the hours from 6 am to 1 am. There’s no timeline for this opening.

Located in the quiet neighborhood of Village Park in Long Beach, Cali Chilli’s first location radiates comfort and class through its delightful interior with playful splashes of color. Customers can expect a variety of flavors that represent a contemporary twist of unauthentic Indian cuisine curated by Chef Manjunath Mural—a perfect blend of signature Indian flavors in international classics. The new location is expected to feature the same delicious meals as the Long Beach site, with Chef Manjunath Mural also helping with this location.

“Chef Mural Manjunath has received four consecutive Michelin stars for his modern take on Indian cuisine,” according to the company’s website. “He took an innovative approach by blending traditional Indian flavors with Southeast Asian cuisine to deliver a truly unique experience. At CaliChilli, we hope to bring you a similar experience through an Indian twist on traditional American dishes. Boasting a vibrant bar, intimate and cozy seating, and some outdoor seating to enjoy the weather, CaliChilli is perfect for any occasion – a romantic date night or just a fun evening out with your closest friends.”
