First proposed earlier this year, the project would replace the Bethel Encino ELCA Church and Preschool at the southwestern corner of the intersection of Burbank Boulevard and Encino Avenue. Designs by project architect Vessel Architecture include a glass atrium at the intersection as well as floor-to-ceiling windows fronting Burbank Boulevard.

A representative for the proposed development on Tuesday will present revised plans to the neighborhood group, which could follow the discussion with a vote on the project plans, according to this week’s agenda.

As of July, the development team had plans for 238 units in a 284,859-square-foot, 89-foot-tall project, with construction anticipated to start in May before wrapping up in May of 2024. The community would hold 146 independent living units, 60 assisted living units, and 32 memory care units, plans show.

Plans have also called for an underground parking garage with 162 parking spaces, along with a list of amenities that includes a pool deck, rooftop lounge spaces, a spa and salon, and a theater room.
