Coffee with Crème & Sugar is slated to open in Santa Monica in early January. The new cafe will offer a full range of espresso and coffee drinks, fair trade tea, Popbar gelato and sorbet on a stick, and sweets.
Owner Joe McCain told What Now Los Angeles, “I’m a bit of coffee connoisseur myself. In visiting Italy over the last couple of years, we formed a strong partnership with Lavazza and decided we wanted to bring Italian espresso to the states in a new way.”
McCain added, “The menu will of course have coffee, the crème is our gelato that we bring in daily through Popbar, and we’ll also partner with local bakeries to offer sweets like cookies, pastries, danishes, muffins, doughnuts and more.”
Coffee with Crème & Sugar will have a philanthropic leg as well focused on helping the homeless population. “For us, it’s not just about driving revenue, it’s also about being a good neighbor.”
McCain has his sights set on expansion and mentioned that they’ve identified a few potential locations throughout Orange County, though nothing is set in stone yet.
“We can’t wait to join the community.”
