Acclaimed craft ramen chain, HiroNori, is opening soon in Westchester at the site of the former Humble Potato, according to its website

The award-winning restaurant specializes in three types of ramen. Their Tonkotsu ramen is made with a simmered pork bone broth that takes 24 hours to prepare. HiroNori’s Shoyu ramen is a more clear broth made with chicken, pork bone and soy sauce that’s been barreled for two years. Finally, their vegan option uses a  sesame miso broth with five types of miso imported from Japan.

HiroNori’s craft ramen is often recognized as some of the best in California and has been featured in the Michelin Guide multiple times.

Co-founders Hiro Igarashi and Nori Akasaka met in L.A. in 2011 and went on to open the first HiroNori six years later in Irvine. Today, HiroNori has 14 open outposts throughout Northern and Southern California, including Chino, Torrence, Pasadena, Monterrey Park and Long Beach. The pair also owns Gyoza Bar in Echo Park
