The pizzeria’s first day is on the books for December 9, a Gino’s East rep in an email Wednesday told What Now Los Angeles.

But there’s a catch.

Monday’s debut is a “sneak preview night” available only to invited guests including the winners of a social media giveaway going on now until Friday, December 6.

“Absolutely no walk-ups, we are only serving invited guests, but we’ll be open the next day,” according to the contest rules.

100 Angelenos will be selected to win 50 percent off dinner for two and access to Monday’s event.

Gino’s Pizza will open to the public on Tuesday, December 10 for its “soft opening” in the former Rock’n Pies space, at 12924 Riverside Drive.

An official “grand opening” is slated for late-December, they said.

Tod Himmel and Dan Michaels are the franchisees bringing the West Coast its first Gino’s East joining 12 existing locations primarily situated in the midwest.

Texas is currently as far west as the company extends.

In addition to its pizza, Gino’s East Sherman Oaks will also serve Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches, sausages, and more.

Gino’s East last year chased an expansion towards the East Coast with an outpost in Atlanta.

That location only lasted a few months and is on its way to being replaced by a hair salon.
