A new eatery from the same owners of Tel Aviv Grill was just approved at 18047 Ventura Blvd in Encino. The proposed project is listed as Alenby on plans submitted to the city. An opening timeline is currently unclear.
Public records indicate the owners intend to remodel the 2,200 square-foot restaurant space, convert the existing 780 square-foot outdoor dining area, and add a small uncovered patio that will seat 10.
Tel Aviv Grill, helmed by Doron Goldberg, is known for its incredible kosher dishes and authentic Israeli cuisine. Their menu includes items like shawarma, kebabs, schnitzel, pitas, Laffa and more. The restaurant has five open locations, including one in Encino just down the street from the new proposed project.
Will Alenby also serve Israeli cuisine? “Allenby” is a major street in Tel Aviv, could that be where the restaurant takes its namesake from? Alas, this is just speculation as Goldberg could not be immediately reached for comment.
