This is the newest addition to the many other locations the boba tea chain has planned. The restaurant has 18 other locations coming to Los Angeles County, according to their website. Franchisee Marianna Manoukian tells What Now Los Angeles she and her cousin hope to open the new location at the end of January 2022. It’s Boba Time will be replacing Elite Smoke Shop, which closed down recently. There are already multiple It’s Boba Time’s in Los Angeles County, with the closest to this new one being in Highland.

It’s Boba Time started back in 2003 by Eunice Pak with 40 drinks on their menu. Now, the chain has over 50 locations across California with over 140 menu items. Their popular drinks include coconut strawberry, jasmine milk tea, and taro milk tea. The restaurant also serves acai bowls, shaved ice, and coffee. The majority of drinks can be customized with real fruit or toppings.

“Our team members work together to give quick and excellent service to our guests,” according to their website. “Most of all, we want to make sure that every sip and scoop is absolutely delectable. We have become the most famous boba shop in the Los Angeles area, attracting an average of 1,000 people a day at our most popular locations.”
