La Brea Bakery opened 34 years ago on its namesake street before expanding to Downtown Disney in Anaheim.

The company’s sudden closure saw the beloved brand moving wholly into the wholesale and grocery retail sphere, “save for a few lingering airport branding deals,” per Eater. The Anaheim location has since become a Porto’s Bakery & Cafe.

While not much is presently known about Leopardo, the aforementioned liquor license lists “Castling Solutions, Inc.” as the primary owner, an entity forged by Suh and Vivian Jeffs.

From 2008 to 2020, Jeffs, who currently acts as chief of staff for Ryu Isobe’s LA-based Tatsu Ramen, served as an executive assistant at LegalZoom while Suh was CEO and chairman.

This article will updated as more information becomes available. Until then, visit the Leopardo website here.
