The company recently submitted documents to the City of Los Angeles Planning Department to open a new 5,098 square-foot location with a 1,247 square-foot patio, just a few stores down from their original site in Torrance. Owner Adriana Moran tells What Now Los Angeles she plans to convert the original location into something else, likely a Mexican eatery. Once plans are approved, she expects to relocate sometime in early 2023. The company also has a location in Long Beach.

If and when the restaurant is able to relocate, guests can expect the same pleasant and unique feeling on each visit. The restaurant proudly serves various Salvadorian and Guatemalan dishes not often found in the city.  La Esperanza has appetizers like shuco, a Guatemalan-style hot dog sandwich; breakfast, tamales, soups, and salads.

As for entrees, guests can find plenty of delicious Salvadorean specialties such as pupusas, yuca con chicharron, pepian, hilacha, and more. For those less venturous, the restaurant also offers classic Mexican dishes. La Esperanza also offers desserts and catering for those who want to supply their next event with delicious food.

“Our original menu is the result of the inspiration from a select team of expert chefs in Creole cuisine,” according to the company’s website. “In each dish, you will enjoy the live fusion of the pre-Columbian Maya and Pipil kitchen with Arab Hispanic ingredients, brought to our shores by the Spanish conquerors.”
