Since opening in Downtown Los Angeles, the company has focused strictly on serving delicious breakfast burritos for anyone in the area. Last year Wake & Late announced they would be expanding to a new Santa Monica location sometime this year. Now, the company is ready to double its locations with new sites coming to Hollywood, located at 6334 Selma Ave., and Pasadena, at 525 Colorado Blvd. Both locations are expected to open within the next five months, likely around late summer/ early fall.

The upcoming location in Hollywood is expected to open first and will replace Duidough Cafe & Cookie Lab. The most recently announced location in Pasadena will replace the 10,000 square foot Le Cordon Bleu school. This fourth location will serve as both a storefront and a central hub for the company, where they will produce sourdough bagels, various bread, and breakfast pastries that will be sold at all locations.

“When we first opened, we really wanted to bring fine and fast breakfast options everywhere,” Richter tells Eater LA, “but you can really only do so much with 900 square feet [in Downtown]. Once we started to grow, the question was ‘Is this it? Are we only going to serve food for people who eat breakfast burritos?’ We wanted to be more of an answer for everyone.”

Founders Alex Sauciuc, Ben Richter, and John Shoemaker launched Wake & Late to solve the “breakfast dilemma,” as in the desire to eat breakfast away from home. In addition to the new menu items, all locations will still serve the delicious breakfast burritos that have made this company a fast-growing eatery in Los Angeles. Some breakfast burritos include bacon, chorizo, smoked pastrami, and steak, stuffed with eggs, avocado, vegetables, and other delicious ingredients. Wake & Late also offers vegetarian and vegan options.

Someone was high AF writing this article. Duidough Cafe & Cookie Lab was in Hollywood, not Santa Monica, and the address you put for the new Selma location is a block away from that closed Cookie spot. The article’s information is incoherent.
