Franchisee Daniel Hernandez, who is also opening a new location in Whittier, hopes to open the store by the end of the year. He tells What Now Los Angeles he had been trying to claim this spot for years, but the pandemic delayed construction of the new commercial development. Before Hernandez secured this location for Nekter Juice Bar, there were bids from Yardhouse, Red Robbin, and Jollibee. This will be the 21st location in Los Angeles County.

The Bag Factory, located across from Stonewood Mall, was expected to open in Q4 of 2019, but the pandemic delayed everything. The new commercial development will have a future hotel and an additional space for another restaurant. The area already featured a Big 5 and Dunkin Donuts. It is unknown what the other restaurant will be at this time.

Nékter was founded in 2010 by Alexis and Steve Schulze. The duo began franchising and now has over 160 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Utah, Colorado, Washington State, and North Carolina. Nékter plans to expand nationally to 425 restaurants by 2022, with plans to open in Atlanta, Central California, Chicago, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Tucson, and more.
