“[The closure]  may come as a surprise to those on the outside but despite all the accolades, writeups, and appearance of being busy we have never been very profitable,” explains Founder Johnny Lee

The post goes on to say that Pearl River Deli will “reopen sometime in March with a new concept that will hopefully be more sustainable for all involved.”

While Lee hasn’t yet disclosed further details regarding his plans, he concludes the Instagram caption with a hopeful & determined sentiment, stating, “This isn’t goodbye yet.”
