Pelicana Chicken already has over 2,000 locations worldwide, but this becomes the fourth location in Los Angeles and sixth in California. The new restaurant hopes to open its doors by the end of the year, owner Eun Joo Cho tells What Now Los Angeles. It will replace Burger City Grill, which closed down last year.

The Korean fried chicken restaurant began in 1982 out of Daejoon, South Korea. In 2014, the chain began to expand into the United States with a handful of locations in New York. This year Pelicana Chicken began making its way towards the West Coast, starting in Cupertino, according to What Now SF. The chain has recently announced three more locations throughout Los Angeles in Buena Park, Artesia, and Koreatown, and one in San Diego. Right now, only the Buena Park location is operational.

Pelicana Chicken specializes in Korean barbeque and offers dozens of yang-nyum chicken options, from chicken wings to boneless tenders. The chicken is complimented with traditional sweet and spicy sauce or one of their other five sauces. On top of the chicken, the restaurant also offers numerous sides such as chicken gizzards, fries, onion rings, sausage cheese bacon roll, and sea snail spicy salad.
