Project applicant and owner Nathan Korman of NBK LLC first filed plans for the project in 2019. The development team is ultimately waiting for site development and environmental impact approvals from city planning.
If approved, the project will reach a maximum height of about 80 feet, totaling about 43,000 square feet and replacing 18 multifamily units spread across five two-story buildings.
The hotel would include a two-level parking garage with 56 parking spaces, a 1,903-square-foot rooftop restaurant, and a fitness center, among other features. Plans also call for 20 bicycle spaces.
The project site is just north of another hotel project. Further along in plans is Adolfo Suaya’s 134-room Whisky Hotel at 1717 Wilcox Avenue, which is expected to open next year.
The neighborhood council’s discussion of the project this week will be a continuation of one that started in April and may result in a motion and vote, according to its agenda.
