The project would rise in place of the single-family residence at 1524 South Fairfax Avenue and is being proposed by applicant and owner Amnon Baruch, plans show. The new development would hold six one-bedrooms, six two-bedrooms, and four three-bedrooms over two levels of parking totaling a combined 22 spaces. Two apartments would be reserved for extremely low-income households.

Also involved in the planned development is Pirooz Amona, who is shown as the developer, as well as project representative Shapour Shajirat of company DCC and project architect California Development and Design.

Rising to a maximum height of 67 feet, the approximately 17,000-square-foot building would also provide about 1,800 square feet of common open space, including 845 square feet on the rooftop, and space for 18 bicycles.

it’s ridiculous to start developing six story buildings in a sweet family neighborhood. it will change for the worse the whole fabric of the neighborhood. don’t let it go through. im sure the area isn’t zoned for such a tall building. kiss goodbye your light, the quiet, and say hello to the beginning of traffic and noise and more ugly structures like this. stop it now!.
