The family-owned Mediterranean restaurant first opened its doors back in 2012 under the success of owner Sam Dashti. He founded Fresco Sauce’s Fire Roasted Pepper blend that same year, intended to sell at his new restaurant. Now, Dashti gets ready to move into a 1,800 square-foot space at an unknown date.

“It was an instant hit, and customers wanted to take it home,” according to their website. “Exclusively sold in the restaurant for five years, the blend was finally bottled for the general public in 2018 along with the latest additions to the Fresco Sauce line, Chipolte & Habanero, and Ghost Berry. Today, Sam uses the same care to create the Fresco Sauce line he used in 2012, starting with fresh ingredients and cooking by hand in small batches.”

Both restaurants will offer Mediterranean and Middle Eastern classic dishes such as falafels and kebabs. The new restaurant is expected to accept catering requests as well, like the original. For those interested in buying one of the hot sauces to try at home, you can buy some at the original restaurant, located at 12231 Santa Monica Blvd.
