“We’ve been in business for two years but solely as an online direct-to-consumer business,” Owner Casey Courter said.

The new location on Main Street in Ventura will become the flagship retail location for the business.

Casey and his wife Brooke started Sundream Cofee in 2018 with one goal: to spread good vibes and protect their happy place through something as simple as a cup of coffee. Sundream currently offers a variety of coffee blends online but the new Main Street location will allow the business to better connect with its customers.

“We’re excited. We have solely been online and we’ve always missed getting to know our customers more on a personal level,” he said. “It will be nice to put a face to a name.”

He added that the business had outgrown its small warehouse.

“This space was inspiring and felt like the right place at the right time so we took the leap,” he said.

Courter hopes to open the retail space in the next three months.

“We really like Ventura for its down-home feel,” he said. “It feels like a hidden gem on the California coast.”
