Rusty Bills, recently-promoted chief operations officer for Galardi Group Inc. — the Irvine-based parent company of Wienerschnitzel — revealed that the nostalgic hotdog haven is due for renovations across handfuls of its California locations. One of the outposts under consideration resides in Long Beach, according to Bills and J.R. Galardi, son of founder John Galardi.

In addition to the Long Beach redo, Galardi Group Inc. also intends to update seven drive-thrus: four in the Bay Area and three in Southern California. Bills also says a “bottom-up remodel” is due in Oceanside.

“Instead of saying ‘wipe ‘em out and rebuild,’ we realized we have great real estate points and it’s very nostalgic,” Bills explains. “So we’re making some efforts behind the scenes that haven’t been shown anywhere.”

While plans are continuously evolving, Bills projects that the company will officially announce exact locations in the first quarter of 2023 on the heels of artistic renderings and inevitable bidding.
