The new 650 square-foot restaurant will move into the former home of Think Halal Grill, according to Toddrickallen. Owner Oscar Rembao tells What Now Los Angeles he hopes to open the new restaurant by late-April 2022. He opened the original location at 6374 Sunset Blvd back in 2020 after having the idea since undergrad. Rembao wanted to serve nothing but delicious free-range chicken. Now, he gets ready to bring his specialty antibiotic-free chicken to Westwood Village residents and students of UCLA.

The new Wildbird is destined to become the hottest chicken restaurant in the area, only competing with Chic-fil-A and Hangry Moon’s. There’s a good reason why this restaurant has become a popular option for health-forward individuals. The chickens themselves are humanely raised and vegetarian fed. After finding the best ingredients, they trim each piece by hand and marinate overnight in a citrus-herb blend of spices. Then, the chicken is seared on a broiler and slow roast to perfection. To top it off, Wildbird also makes homemade organic salsas that are perfect on their market plates, salads, bowls, and tacos.

“We believe the choices we make about what we eat, where it comes from, and how it’s prepared, have a direct and powerful impact on the health of individuals, communities, and the environment,” according to their website. “We’re always looking for ways to source smarter, to make better decisions, and to help Wildbird and its customers be a positive force in the world and on the food system. We feel a great sense of responsibility and pride to change what it means to be in the business of feeding people.”
