The project would rise in place of a school building at 259 W. 85th St., just west of Heavenly Vision Church, which owns the project site. The church is working alongside RMG Housing, a Los Angeles developer of permanent supportive housing for individuals with mental and physical disabilities, planning documents show.

Slated for the northeastern corner of the Broadway and West 85th Street intersection, the project would involve new construction totaling about 41,100 square feet. It would feature 59 below-market-rate units and one manager’s unit, along with four automobile parking spaces and 66 bicycle spaces.

The project is being designed by project architect Malekian & Associates and also involves project representative Sami El Bayar of EDDG Inc.

Plans also call for about 4,800 square feet of common areas including a 3,600-square-foot roof deck and a ground floor containing a lobby, community room, and offices for supportive services, according to application documents.
