The creators of Uchi are opening up a new concept in Los Angeles late next year, according to a report from Eater LA. The 14-seat restaurant named Oheya, which fittingly means “the room” in Japanese, will be located on Santa Monica Blvd next to Uchi, which translates to “house.”

Oheya first appeared in Houston, Texas in March. The L.A. outpost will “serve an ever-changing omakase menu” created in collaboration with one of Uchi’s chefs from its other locations as well as the L.A. culinary team, per Eater LA. Houston’s location is priced at $175 and offers a chef‑curated and personalized menu inside an intimate bar tucked behind a discreetly marked door.

Uchi LA, Oheya’s sister restaurant, opened in WeHo just this month under owner Tyson Cole’s quickly growing Hai Hospitality restaurant group. The relaxed yet polished Uchi LA seats up to 191 patrons and serves masterful Japanese cuisine. Hai Hospitality’s umbrella of brands includes Oheya, Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba and Loro.
