According to public records, Blue Magpie LLC applied for a liquor license at the site of the former Rod’s Grill. Kevin Tang, a representative for Blue Magpie, confirmed that the restaurant is still in very early planning stages and would likely not be ready to open for another year.

Rod’s Grill closed its doors after 70 years in February. The beloved Arcadia diner was known for its friendly service and hearty dishes.

We don’t have any details yet on what the new restaurant is planning to serve.
