Funke — a concept conceived by Chef Evan Funke and real estate magnate Kurt Rappaport — will debut at 9388 Santa Monica Boulevard, in the middle of Beverly Hills’s dining epicenter. The 180-seat three-level restaurant will find itself near hotspots like Mírame and Wally’s Wine Bar.

According to Eater LA, Funke will serve Italian fare and is likely to open in March of 2023

“This restaurant is a culmination of my time spent in Italy over the last 15 years,” Funke explained. “Kurt and I have come together on an extraordinary project and we can’t wait to share it with Los Angeles.”

Evan Funke is also responsible for lauded LA locations Felix in Venice and Mother Wolf off of Wilcox Avenue, both of which serve Italian staples.
