While owner Jae Chang could not confirm details at this time, all signs are pointing towards Tomikawa taking over Kabuki’s current Pasadena space.

Tomikawa currently has one open location in Irvine that offers a full menu of Japanese dishes including a variety of traditional and specialty sushi, bento boxes, salads, carpaccio, appetizers, desserts, a large sake selection, beer and wine.

Chang is also the founder of the popular GEN Korean BBQ, which has 30 company-owned locations nationwide. A hospitality industry veteran, he’s also owned, operated and managed several restaurant concepts, including the Shabuya, Sumo, Octopus, H2O Sushi and California Gogi brands.
