Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams Debuts Runway Playa Vista Scoop Shop

FREE MARKET outpost is fifth in LA for the national ice cream chain

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has opened its fifth LA location, a company spokesperson tells What Now Los Angeles.

The new scoop shop is part of FREE MARKET in Runway Playa Vista, at 12751 Millennium Dr., Suite 5-195.

More of a stand, at 434 square feet, the new Jeni’s serves the company’s signature classics like Gooey Butter Cake, dairy-free flavors like Dark Chocolate Truffle, and the brand-new Buttercream Birthday Cake.

Recently, the brand drew attention this year for its Everything Bagel flavor (it even had onions and garlic) and a White House Chocolate Chip flavor in honor of President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

“As a Certified B Corporation, Jeni’s has long been known for its social, environmental, and business leaders, and in 2019 was recognized as a Best For The World honoree, scoring in the top 10 percent of all B Corporations worldwide for community impact,” the spokesperson said. “Jeni’s makes unforgettable flavors in partnership with the growers, makers, and producers who supply them with ingredients—they call it the Fellowship Model—from family-run dairies to farmers who grow fields of berries just for them.”
