According to a recent press release by the City of Burbank, Kalaveras will soon make its debut in Downtown Burbank. The new restaurant at 221 North San Fernando Blvd will add to the Mexican chain’s growing roster of stores.

“Kalaveras is set to open in Spring 2024, offering Latin American culinary classics with a vibrant flare,” the press release states.

The family-owned business is helmed by brothers Jose and Francisco Brito. Kalaveras is known for its colorful interiors, lively Latin music, housemade cocktails, and Mexican and Latin American culinary staples served with a “Kalaveras twist.” 

What Now Los Angeles has been reporting on Kalaveras’ growth story for quite some time. Currently, the Dia de los Muertos-themed establishment has more than 20 locations throughout SoCal, including Northridge, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Covina and Oxnard.
