Manoukian Restaurant, a new plant-based, organic restaurant, is coming to Silver Lake, located at 2813-2815 W. Sunset Blvd.
A section of the new restaurant will take over Tintorera, a Mexican restaurant that closed down before the pandemic. The replaced portion will be transformed into a 3,500 square-foot patio lined with palm trees where customers can dine. The patio will have about 100 exterior seats, according to a case filing for the restaurant submitted to the City of Los Angeles. The patio will be attached to a 2,000 square-foot restaurant, including 52 interior seats. Manoukian Restaurant will be open from 11:00 am to 2:00 am.
This new restaurant comes from the founder of The Butcher’s Daughter, Heather Tierney. She started the plant-centric juice bar and cafe in New York’s Nolita neighborhood in 2012 before moving to Los Angeles in 2016. Since the move, the New York-native has opened three locations in New York and one in Venice, Los Angeles. Now, Tierney gets ready to open up her second Los Angeles restaurant sometime in October 2021.
Although not much information has been released regarding what exactly will be served at this restaurant, it’s safe to say it will be an organic, plant-based menu similar to what is found at The Butcher’s Daughter, but with more restaurant-style to it. Customers can expect a plethora of vegetarian and vegan options, all filled with seasonal fruits and vegetables.
