The Valley’s Catch 818 Mariscos is opening a second location in Sherman Oaks at 15023 Ventura Blvd. Currently, that address is occupied by Sugar Taco, a vegan taco shop specializing in straightforward, meatless Mexican fare like tacos, bowls and quesadillas.
At its original Van Nuys store, Catch 818 serves elevated Mexican seafood including aguachiles, shrimp and fish tacos, oysters, ceviche, langostinos, campechana, as well as drinks like micheladas and margaritas. The location is a hidden gem with a dedicated local following.
An opening date for Sherman Oaks has not been announced, but according to its Instagram, they are currently hiring a wait staff.
Catch 818 is owned by Betsy Rojas. She could not be immediately reached for comment.
