The restaurant and residences will be housed inside the historic Masonic Temple in Downtown Pomona. The group worked with the Historic Committee to preserve the building’s exterior, while giving the interior a facelift.

According to various posts on JP Group’s Instagram, Maxximo will feature patio seating, a lounge area, two full bars, a banquet hall that will seat up to 250 people and a deck that can accommodate 500 people. An opening date has not yet been announced, but they’re booking events for the first week of May. Hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.

JP Group also owns and operates El Jefe, a Mexican restaurant in Pomona, and has been behind a number of concepts. “Collectively, our management team has more than 30 years of experience launching and operating restaurants and nightclubs that include Vive Lounge, Rock n Saddle, SkyFox Lounge, Carnaval, Papa Tacos, Oceana Mariscos and Rawken Sushi,” their website states.
