Ggiata was established by childhood friends Noah Holton-Raphael, Max Bahramipour and Jack Biebel — who all grew up eating authentic Italian-style deli sandwiches in New Jersey — and is headed by executive chef Celerino Cruz and pastry chef Cristy Erickson.

The brand has three additional outposts in Venice, WeHo and Melrose Avenue. The Highland Park location will be the first with indoor seating. Holton-Raphael described it as “an elevated Jersey dine-in” to The Eastsider.

Ggiata is inspired by traditional East Coast delis and is known for its variety of lunchtime staples including hot sandwiches like chicken and eggplant parm, cold sandwiches like their classic Italian and caprese, fresh salads, as well as breakfast items and deli-style desserts like rainbow cookies.

A representative for Ggiata could not be immediately reached for comment.
