Old Oaks Steakhouse will be taking over the former Corrigan’s Steak House space in Thousand Oaks. The restaurant has experienced construction delays but recently hung up exterior signage and should be open this fall, according to co-owner Albert Chirkjian.

The upscale eatery will feature a traditional steakhouse menu with items like dry aged meats and fresh seafood, as well as a full bar with high end whiskies, cognac, tequila and more. “I would venture to say the bar could be the best in Ventura County,” said Chirkjian.

As for the vibe, “I would call our concept transitional, combining old with new. We’re using a wood burning grill for the steaks and entertainment will be provided.”

Old Oaks is co-owned by Albert and Arseen Chirkjian. The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and the bar will stay open until 1 a.m.
